Terms and Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE WEBSITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE. THESE TERMS APPLY TO YOUR USE OF THIS WEBSITE ONLY. ANY QUOTATION, ORDER, SURVEY, INSTALLATION, GUARANTEE OR CONTRACT FOR WORKS MAY BE SUBJECT TO SEPARATE WRITTEN TERMS AND CONDITIONS ISSUED BY GREATER GOOD GLASS LTD.

1. This website is operated by Greater Good Glass Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC671404. Our registered office is 5 Home Farm Steadings, Blackridge, Bathgate, Scotland, EH48 3SG. Our email address is hello@greatergood.org.uk and our telephone number is 0800 644 6454.

2. Greater Good Glass Ltd provides windows, doors, garden rooms and related home improvement services. References in these Terms and Conditions to “we”, “us” or “our” mean Greater Good Glass Ltd. References to “you” or “your” mean the person accessing or using this website.

3. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you should not use this website.

4. The content on this website is provided for general information only. Although we take reasonable care to ensure that information on the website is accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that the content will always be complete, current, accurate or free from errors.

5. Information on this website relating to windows, doors, garden rooms, glazing, products, colours, finishes, specifications, guarantees, energy performance, security features, availability or installation options is provided for general guidance only. Exact products, specifications, availability and suitability may vary depending on the property, supplier, manufacturer, site conditions, survey findings and the customer’s requirements.

6. Nothing on this website shall constitute a binding quotation, offer, contract, technical recommendation, planning advice, building standards advice or professional advice. Any customer wishing to proceed with works must obtain a written quotation or written contract directly from Greater Good Glass Ltd.

7. Greater Good Glass Ltd does not provide generic package prices or instant guide prices through this website. Every property and project is different, and final pricing may depend on measurements, product type, window or door style, glazing, colours, finishes, handles, hardware, accessories, access requirements, installation complexity, making good, disposal, survey findings, supplier costs and any additional works requested by the customer.

8. Any quotation issued by Greater Good Glass Ltd is valid only where provided in writing and within any stated validity period. We reserve the right to withdraw, amend or correct any quotation before a contract is formed where there has been an error, change in specification, change in supplier or material cost, technical issue, survey finding or other relevant change.

9. Submitting an enquiry through this website does not create a contract between you and Greater Good Glass Ltd. A contract will only be formed when a quotation, order form, purchase contract or other written agreement has been accepted in accordance with the terms provided to you.

10. Where a survey is required, any quotation, specification, installation method or price may remain subject to the outcome of that survey. If a survey identifies that the works cannot reasonably be carried out, require amendment, involve additional work or present safety, technical, structural, access, regulatory or supply issues, we reserve the right to amend or withdraw the quotation before a contract is formed.

11. Any dates or timescales referred to on this website, in communications or during early discussions are estimates only unless expressly confirmed in writing as binding. Manufacturing, delivery and installation times may be affected by supplier lead times, product availability, weather, access, customer availability, survey findings and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

12. Images on this website may include completed projects, product examples, manufacturer images, stock imagery or illustrative visuals. They are provided to demonstrate the type and quality of work we may undertake. Exact products, colours, finishes, glazing, hardware, dimensions and specifications may vary.

13. You should not rely solely on website images, website descriptions or online examples when choosing a product or specification. Product options, suitability and availability will be discussed with you as part of the quotation and specification process.

14. Reviews and testimonials displayed on this website are provided for general customer reassurance and information. They reflect individual customer experiences and may not represent every customer’s experience. We may edit testimonials for length, spelling, grammar, formatting or clarity, but we will not knowingly alter the meaning of the original feedback.

15. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any necessary planning permission, listed building consent, conservation area approval, landlord consent, factor approval, building warrant, building standards approval or other permission required for proposed works has been obtained before works proceed.

16. Greater Good Glass Ltd does not accept responsibility for delays, costs, complications, enforcement action or refusal of works arising from a failure by the customer to obtain any required permissions, approvals or consents, unless we have expressly agreed in writing to be responsible for a specific permission or application.

17. Where a customer proceeds with work, the customer may be responsible for providing accurate information, reasonable access to the property and a safe working environment. The customer should advise us of any known defects, restrictions, access issues, fragile areas, hidden services, structural concerns, hazardous materials or other matters that may affect the works.

18. The customer is responsible for removing or protecting fragile, valuable or personal items from areas where works are to be carried out. Reasonable care will be taken during any works, but Greater Good Glass Ltd will not be responsible for loss or damage caused by the customer failing to remove or protect such items where they could reasonably have done so.

19. Any materials, products, goods or components supplied for a project will remain the property of Greater Good Glass Ltd or the relevant supplier until paid for in full, unless otherwise stated in the written contract or required by law.

20. Any guarantees, warranties or aftercare arrangements relating to products, materials or workmanship will be as set out in the relevant quotation, contract, manufacturer documentation or guarantee document issued to the customer. Website statements about guarantees are general only and should not be treated as replacing the specific written guarantee terms applicable to your project.

21. Any manufacturer guarantee may be subject to the manufacturer’s own terms, conditions, exclusions and registration requirements. Greater Good Glass Ltd will provide reasonable assistance in relation to applicable manufacturer guarantee information where relevant.

22. Any workmanship guarantee provided by Greater Good Glass Ltd will not take effect until full and final payment has been received, unless otherwise stated in writing. The guarantee may not cover damage or defects caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, accidental damage, third-party works, building movement, structural issues, extreme weather, unauthorised alterations, normal wear and tear or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

23. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Where you purchase goods or services from Greater Good Glass Ltd, your rights and obligations will be governed by applicable consumer law and the specific written terms agreed with you.

24. Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply, you may have cancellation rights depending on how and where the contract is formed. However, products that are made to measure, bespoke, personalised or manufactured to the customer’s specification may be treated differently under those regulations. Any cancellation rights applicable to your order will be set out in the contract documentation provided to you.

25. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. 26. We may suspend, restrict or block access to the website where we reasonably believe that the website is being misused or where we need to carry out maintenance, updates, security measures or technical changes.

27. We aim to keep this website available and working properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We will not be liable if the website is unavailable at any time or for any period.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on this website.

32. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

33. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Greater Good Glass Ltd will not be liable for loss arising from reliance on general website content, website errors or omissions, website unavailability, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, indirect or consequential loss, third-party website content, viruses, malware or harmful code transmitted by third parties.

34. The limitations in clause 33 apply to use of this website only. They do not limit any rights you may have under a separate written contract with Greater Good Glass Ltd or under applicable consumer law.

35. Greater Good Glass Ltd will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any website-related obligation caused by events outside our reasonable control. Such events may include failure of internet services, cyber incidents, power failures, industrial action, civil disturbance, war, terrorism, fire, flood, storm, extreme weather, epidemic, pandemic, supplier failure, governmental action or any other event beyond our reasonable control.

36. We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on this website. Continued use of the website after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms and Conditions.

37. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

38. No failure or delay by Greater Good Glass Ltd to exercise any right, power or remedy under these Terms and Conditions or by law shall constitute a waiver of that right, power or remedy.

39. A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions has no right under the Contract (Third Party Rights) (Scotland) Act 2017 to rely upon or enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions.

40. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. The Scottish courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
